Mutual Aid Residential Structure Fire

On January 15, 2017 Station 207, 238 (Rankin), 113 (Braddock), 298 (Whitaker) were dispatched to North Holland Avenue in Rankin for a reported residential structure fire. Rankin Police were on scene moments later confirming a working fire. 238 Engine secured a water supply, other incoming companies reported to command. 207 Engine crew arrived and stretched a 1 3/4″ preconnect for fire exinguishment. Command then requested 171 RIT along with 153 (Forest Hills), and 204 (Munhall #5) for additional manpower. Crews brought the fire under control within an hour. Crews performed salvage and overhaul operations to make sure the fire was extinguished. 207 Engine was released by command.
